Movin’ Out launches new program to maintain housing stability
Movin’ Out moved quickly to expand our emergency funding program for eviction and foreclosure prevention to enable us to respond to the urgent needs of renters and homeowners in Dane County and across the state of Wisconsin facing economic hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On April 20, we were notified that we would receive $25,000 that we applied for from the United Way of Dane County COVID-19 Emergency and Recovery Fund to add to our existing “Homestead” emergency fund.

Movin' Out affordable housing project awarded more than $1 million from City of Madison
An affordable housing project that has been years in the making got the green light for $1.025 million in funding from the city last month.
The collaboration of Red Caboose Child Care Center, a well-established day care, and Movin' Out, an organization that specializes in housing for people with disabilities, will create dozens of new, affordable apartments in east Madison.

Tiger Lily Seeds: A Micro-Enterprise with a Big Impact
Tiger Lily Seeds is a micro-enterprise in the business of growing prairie wetland wild flowers and harvesting their high-value seeds. The enterprise’s principal, Brittany Romine, harvested her first crop of seeds in the autumn of 2012 and successfully sold them to Applied Ecological Services, an international distributor of rare native seeds based in Brodhead, Wisconsin.
